We’ve all heard of women who have gone through some horrific illness and “She never once complained.” Yeah…that wouldn’t be me. If I stub my toe or break a nail, my husband hears about it. For days. If you and I were watching a movie, I’d be the one in the front row complaining about every line of cheesy dialogue.
Whining is my second language. But I’m not proud of it. What if we pictured our words as tangible things? What if our words were flowers? Are the things coming out of your mouth fresh and beautiful, or brown and lifeless?
“Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.” Ephesians 4:29
